Alex compares cold-storage appliances around the practical bits buyers notice after delivery: fresh-food space, freezer split, door swing, kitchen depth, noise, running costs and whether the drawers suit real shopping habits.

Our winner

Haier Chest Freezer - White - HCE301E

The Haier is the one we would look at if the right balance of capacity, format and kitchen fit.

The 300L capacity is the number to pay attention to. In practice, that decides whether the weekly shop fits comfortably or whether you are still playing shelf Tetris after delivery.
